Lake County Home Inspections

Lake County was created in 1887 from portions of both Sumter County and Orange County and was aptly named based on the more than 1,000 lakes covering the county’s area. Lake County is a part of the geographical center of the State of Florida, located between Orlando and Ocala. While most of the state is flat, Lake County is made up of rolling hills and contains some of the highest elevations in Florida, including Sugarloaf Mountain, the highest point in the state. Lake County is also home to the community “The Villages”, the larges planned retirement community in the United States with more than 100,000 residents. Lake County began around the cotton growing and cattle breeding industries during the 1800s, and during the latter part of the 1900s citrus groves began to take over as the area’s primary industry up until the harsh winter freezes of 1983, 1985, and 1989. Lake County is the perfect retreat and home for nature lovers, anglers, history buffs, and antique treasure hunters.
