Charlotte County and Port Charlotte Home Inspectors

If you are looking for a home to buy in Port Charlotte or in Charlotte County, you’ll need to know a bit about the area—and have a reliable and licensed home inspector you can trust to provide a home inspection on your potential new property.

About Charlotte County

Charlotte County was created in 1921 and was named in honor of the Bay of Charlotte Harbor. The name Charlotte comes from the Spanish “Carlota.” The area was originally named Bahia de Carlota by the Spanish in 1565 and was changed to Charlotte Harbor by the English in 1775 in honor of Queen Charlotte Sophia, the wife of King George III. The only incorporated city, and the county seat, is the city of Punta Gorda. Charlotte Harbor is one of the United States' largest natural harbors. Charlotte County is made up of an ideal location: beautiful waterfront, untouched wilderness, and a paradise lifestyle for fishermen, boaters, sun lovers, and shoppers. Because of this desirable pace lifestyle, Greater Charlotte Harbor and the Gulf Islands Area have consistently been voted the best place to live in the South. Charlotte County is one of Florida’s best kept secrets, with limitless opportunity for dreams to come true.
