AcuSystem Home & Building Inspections, through its Commercial Buildings Division, is very well qualified to perform a wide variety of commercial inspections.
Industry Standards
AcuSystem’s Commercial Building Evaluations are performed to meet ASTM Standard E2018-99. (ASTM is the American Society for Testing Materials.) A full copy of these standards may be made available upon request and the nationwide standard used in the commercial inspection industry. Under these standards a report, known as a Property Condition Assessment (PCA) will be prepared for the customer.
Credentials
AcuSystem Inspectors performing commercial inspections have attended training courses and passed examinations administered by Carson, Dunlop, Weldon & Associates, one of the premier training institutes in North America.
Team Approach
Where appropriate a TEAM (Technical Experts and Management) Approach is utilized. In such instances, experts in various specific fields will assist in the evaluation and their reports will be attached to the PCA as appendices. With smaller buildings the field observer (Inspector) is often a generalist who will evaluate the building unassisted and be solely responsible for the PCA preparation.
PCA Report
Commentary is provided under terms and conditions of a Pre-Inspection Agreement, presented or signed by Customer before the commencement of the inspection assignment. The PCA does not constitute a warranty or any form of insurance, expressed or implied.
The individual who prepared the PCA, termed the TEAM Leader, remains available to answer follow-up questions from the Customer hiring us, or to any other Customer-authorized party. Additional copies of the PCA can be provided to other persons/entities in accordance with Customer’s specific instructions.
